About me

I'm your 4th grade teacher here at Eastvale Elementary.  I've been an elementary school teacher for 17 years.  I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development from Cal State Fullerton, a California Professional Teaching Credential, a Bilingual Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development Certificate, and a Masters degree in Education from the Claremont Graduate University.  I also hold a Reading Recovery Certificate from the Los Angeles County Department of Education.

Observations

Sometimes you will see adults learning to become teachers visiting our classroom for many weeks.  I have had student teachers from the University of Redlands, the University of Riverside, and University of La Verne.  I love teaching and enjoy helping others new to the profession. Best of luck to my former student teachers: Martha Unzuete-Perez, Lindsey Dillon, Gwen Plecas.  You are all so talented and will make excellent teachers!

My Family

I have a wonderful family made up of Michael, age 11, and Tommy age 10.  My husband is a junior high school teacher, and my best friend.  We enjoy spending time as a family.  We feel very lucky to have each other and spend as much time together as we can.  Our pets include: our English Bulldog 'Maximus', our Pomchie 'Simba', and our African Spur Tortoise 'Speedy'.
